The NSW Cyber Security Innovation Node is part of a national network of cyber security innovation nodes, designed to foster and accelerate cyber capability and innovation across the country. It is jointly funded by AustCyber, the Australian Cyber Security Growth Network, and the NSW Government.
The Node has two primary streams of work, designed to leverage and develop cyber capability in NSW, foster collaboration between cyber security stakeholders, drive innovation, and strengthen economic opportunity for NSW:
- NSW Cyber Business Innovation – focusing on collaboration across industry, government and research communities and easily implementable initiatives to assist SMEs to be cyber safe and unlock cyber opportunities. Our activities include industry discovery days, start-up workshops, monthly ‘lunchtime leadership’ seminars. This pillar of work is guided by a high-level industry advisory group.
- Workforce Development – focusing on cyber career pathways, supporting NSW schools teaching cyberSTEM subjects, showcasing career pathways through the VET sector, an MoU with TAFE NSW connecting to 8 NSW universities, cyber security Ambassador program.
The NSW Cyber Security Innovation Node Manager is Dr Stephenie Andal. Please direct any inquiries about the Node’s activities to Stephenie at stephenie.andal@nswcsin.com.au. The NSW Cyber Security Innovation Node Director is Todd Williams, FAICD. The Node’s Chair is Neville Stevens, AO.
