Antler calls for applicants for 2020 program

Calling aspiring and experienced cyber entrepreneurs! Antler Sydney is now taking applications for its second program that will run in January 2020.

Antler is a global startup generator and early-stage venture capital company. With a talent first model they assemble engineers, entrepreneurs, scientists and domain experts and form teams around compelling business models, in which they invest. Cyber is a key area of interest for them to bring in talent from.  Find out more here:

Antler helps entrepreneurs find the right co-founder and connects them to a top tier network of more than 350 advisors and experts worldwide. Funding is provided from day one in the form of a monthly grant and a clear path to capital given. To date, Antler operates in eight cities in five continents across the world with plans to launch many new locations in 2020.

The first Sydney program was launched in June this year with 70 exceptional individuals accepted from the more than 1,000 applicants. Over the first two months of the six-month program, these individuals formed 31 teams. Antler then invested $100k in pre-seed funding in almost half of these businesses, which have become the first series of Antler portfolio companies to come out of Sydney. 

One of the portfolio companies is a cyber security platform, Avertro. The co-founder and CEO is Ian Yip, Ian was the current CTO of McAfee APAC prior to joining the Antler program, where he was responsible for leading the regional tech division of the global security software company. It you are a cyber executive similar to Ian or an engineer you could have the skills required.
