NSW Cyber Security Innovation Node
NSW Cyber Security Innovation Node connects the research strengths of the state's leading universities with the top cyber security challenges for industry.
Geoff Lee, NSW Minister for Skills and Tertiary Education, opened the event.
The success of the new digital technologies curriculum for years 7-10 will depend to a large extent on how well it is understood by the teachers who are tasked with delivering it to their students. It is so important to equip them with the training and resources they need to help their students understand this new material. Here at the NSWCSIN we have been busy rolling out a workforce development program that supports high schools to teach STEM and digital topics.
Last week, at the Joint Cyber Security Centre in Sydney, the Australian Computer Academy took another important step towards teacher support with the launch of a series of the Schools Cyber Security Challenges covering aspects of the new digital curriculum. Importantly, the event included a seminar for teachers. Great to see Geoff Lee, NSW Minister for Skills and Tertiary Education opening the event! The Schools Cyber Security Challenges is an initiative of the Australian Computing Academy at the University of Sydney in partnership with AustCyber.
